Kutschenmuseum Kobrow

With more than 200 coaches, wagons and sledges, the collection in Kobrow is one of the richest and most important in Germany. The elegant victorias, coupes, wagonettes, landaus, phaetons and hunting carriages show the great variety of designs. There is also a museum café.

It is hard to imagine that not even 100 years ago, cars were exotic and coaches were the norm. The Coach Museum in Kobrow warmly invites you to go on a journey into the past. The Mecklenburg Coach Museum is in the middle of the "Sternberg Lakeland" nature park, just outside the town of Sternberg.

You can see more than 200 coaches, carriages and sleighs in the museum's four halls. The large collection of rare travel accessories, saddles, bridles and other rarities is noteworthy. The people who made the coaches and accessories had to be good craftsmen. You can experience all this in the museum. The collection also includes children's carriages as well as commercial and military vehicles. They all date from the 19th and early 20th  century.

Go back to the time before cars!  The museum is open during the summer season.  Group visits can also be arranged during the winter season. Take a tour of our museum, then enjoy some home-made cake or savoury snacks in the museum café!
